Our Campaign Flow

1

Complimentary Qualifying Audit

If you're interested in partnering with us as your organic search agency, the first step it for one of our specialists conduct a complimentary 'Qualifying Audit', which allows us to delve into your business's current status and make sure it's suitable for SEO implementation.
2

Deep Dive Strategy

Upon validating your website's SEO readiness, we require a pre-paid strategy report to be produced before initiating our campaign.
Each department each independently performs an audit and presents their strategic approach to the head of strategy.
Our strategists then compile this expert information to craft a tailored plan designed to meet your business's unique needs and with milestones for your ongoing retainer.
3

Campaign Kick-Off

After the strategy report, we are able to accurately quote up your monthly SEO retainer cost and we can begin your new campaign at the start of the month, to follow our monthly reporting cycle.
4

Onboarding Meeting

Once your campaign kicks-off, we set-up your initial onboarding meeting, so your team can meet the specialists who will be working with you through-out your partnership with us, and to agree on milestone priorities for your first sprint cycle. We want collaborative partnerships above all else, so this step is vital.
5

Sprint Cycles Implementation

We work in two-week sprint cycles to implement your strategy. We conduct planning at the start of a sprint cycle on a Monday, selecting which tasks to prioritise from your backlog, then delegate these to our team to implement. At the end of each sprint on a Friday, our leadership team review the assigned tasks to ensure they were completed and to a quality standard.
6

Monthly Reporting

We provide fortnightly updates, following our sprint cycles, relaying what tasks we have prioritised and whats been implemented. We also provide monthly reports to show our results, alongside our monthly WIP meetings to go over our implementation, the milestones achieved and decided on monthly priorities.

Frequently asked HOP questions:

What is the minimum spend?

Our minimum monthly campaign spend is $5000 (excluding GST). While you may find lower retainers elsewhere, you’ll be dealing with different kinds of costs: strategies devoid of imagination. High-quality, risk-free SEO results and rankings cannot be achieved without an adequate budget.

Do you offer project work?

If you require additional services outside of your campaign, we can devise and execute project-based campaigns to help you achieve your desired results. These projects will work in tandem with your overall organic search strategy. We don’t offer project work if you are not on a retainer with us.

What are the length of your campaigns?

The length of your campaign will depend on your budget and business objectives,  We will work with you to determine the amount of time required to yield the desired results.

How do I measure my return of investment?

During the strategy phase of your campaign, we closely study your business analytics and current investment in organic search. Our specialists will then align your goals with your spending and create a measurable forecast, holding ourselves accountable to reach the agreed milestones within their timelines. It’s important to note that website traffic means little without conversions and revenue. We don’t just bring traffic; we bring qualified traffic from users who are ready to buy.

How do you report?

As we follow an agile methodology, we implement the strategy during two-week sprint cycles and report the completed tasks at the end of each sprint. At the start of each month, we generate a detailed report using SEO Monitor which showcases all the data and milestones achieved, and we take you through this monthly during our WIP sessions.

Frequently asked SEO questions

What is SEO?

SEO is the acronym for Search Engine Optimisation. It’s the practise of optimising a web page or website to improve its visibility and ranking on search engine results pages, also known as SERPs.

Search engines like Google and Bing use complex algorithms to determine the most relevant web pages for a given search query. SEO is the process of aligning a website with these algorithms to make it more relevant and appealing to search engines.

There are several key elements of SEO, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, off-page optimisation, technical SEO, content creation and digital PR.

Who needs SEO?

Every business with an online presence or website needs SEO.

SEO drives organic traffic to your website, which increases its visibility and customer reach. In our online-age, even businesses with physical locations should have an online presence to help customers find and learn about their business.

How long does it take for SEO to succeed?

Just as every business is different, every SEO strategy is different, too.

At House Of Psalm, we don’t believe in the churn-and-burn cookie-cutter approach we so often see from agencies. All of our SEO strategies are carefully tailored to the relevant client, designed to target appropriate search terms and audiences, and align with the client’s business objectives.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to SEO, and there’s no hard-and-fast answer to how long SEO takes to succeed. This will differ from client to client depending on the current SEO strategy, the retainer, and the campaign scope.

However, it’s our mission to provide you with tangible results as quickly as possible. We hold ourselves to high standards and expect to see initial results in the first few weeks of your strategy.

Do I need SEO ongoing?

In the ever-evolving digital landscape, where change is the sole constant, ongoing SEO is crucial.

Search engines will reward your website only when you maintain an unwavering commitment to optimisation.

By nature, search engine algorithms seek to enhance the user experience, promote relevance and weed out the undesirable. This is why they change so frequently, morphing to keep a finger on the pulse of what users want.

In order to maintain your website’s rankings, you need to continually optimise your SEO efforts. This is the only way to ensure your website remains in harmony with the search landscape.

As competitors work to keep pace with the algorithm, your business will inevitably fall behind without persistent refinement of your strategies, content, and technical elements. The need for ongoing SEO is an essential component of a thriving online presence.

As search engine algorithms evolve, competition intensifies, and new content and technological frontiers emerge, ongoing optimisation is crucial.

How much does SEO cost?

When it comes to SEO, your investment should accurately reflect your online presence. A small local business with a limited online presence may require a modest investment to get things rolling, while a sprawling e-commerce empire in a contested market will demand a more substantial commitment.

The cost of your SEO investment will also vary depending on the services your site requires as well as the experience and expertise of the people behind the tools. With how competitive organic search is today, it would be very unlikely to achieve worthwhile results with anything under $5000 per month.

What SEO ranking factors are there?

  • Quality EEAT content
  • Relevant keywords
  • Backlinks
  • User experience
  • On-page optimisations
  • Website architecture
  • User engagement metrics
  • Domain authority
  • Mobile optimisation
  • Page-level factots
  • Security (HTTPS)
  • Social signals

What makes a good SEO campaign?

Most SEO campaigns will include a mix of on and off-page strategies, including keyword research, competitor analysis, on-page optimisation, content creation, technical SEO, link building, local SEO and SEO reporting.

But creating a really effective SEO campaign requires far more than these staples. A good SEO campaign demands innovative strategy, true expertise, creativity, time, effort, and agility.

Google Ads VS SEO

Google Ads is a pay-per-click (PPC) advertising platform that allows you to secure a spot at the top of the SERP.

SEO involves optimising your website so that it ranks at the top of the organic (non-paid) section of the SERP.

Google Ads provide instant results, which means immediate traffic and leads. They also allow you to target specific keywords, demographics and geographical locations to ensure you’re visible to your target audience. It’s also easy to measure your return on investment; you can view how many people see your ads, click on them, and make a purchase.

But Google Ads can be expensive, particularly if you’re in a competitive industry. They’ll also disappear once you stop paying.

SEO, on the other hand, is very cost-effective. It involves an upfront investment but provides you with more value in the long run. Once your website is ranked, you don’t have to pay for clicks. SEO also offers long-term results, especially if you continue to invest in your SEO efforts.

SEO produces results slower than paid ads, as it takes time to optimise a website’s content, structure, and backlink profile. Search engines also use complex algorithms to crawl, index, and rank websites, and this process takes time.

What truly sets SEO ahead of Google Ads is that it establishes trust among searchers. Users typically see organic search results as more credible and trustworthy than paid ads. In fact, some users even avoid clicking on ads and go straight to the organic search results.

To garner long-term results and establish authority in your niche, SEO is the solution.

Outsourcing VS In-House?

If your business has the budget and resources to build a diverse and skilled in-house team that is solely focused on SEO strategy, then in-house SEO may be for you.

However, if you’re hoping to delegate SEO tasks to existing team members who don’t have comprehensive SEO experience, you won’t achieve the desired results.

Good SEO agencies have diverse teams with expertise in different areas of SEO. By outsourcing to an SEO agency, you’ll gain access to specialists in technical development, SEO content, digital PR, and SEO strategy.

These teams will stay updated with the latest changes in search engine algorithms and SEO best practises, ensuring that your SEO strategy is always current and effective. You won’t need to bear the costs of hiring or training employees.

SEO is about more than ticking boxes. Successful SEO campaigns require true expertise, creativity, time, effort, and agility.

What is an Algorithm Update?

An algorithm is a formula that is used to determine the order of search results.

An algorithm update is an intentional adjustment, or range of adjustments, made to a search engine’s ranking algorithm. Google, Bing and other search engines consistently update their algorithms to improve the quality and relevance of search results and combat spam tactics.

While these updates are great for user experience, they pose a challenge to SEO specialists. Algorithm changes typically introduce new ranking factors and change the importance of existing factors.

This means that, as an SEO agency, we are constantly scanning for updates and revising our SEO strategies accordingly. It’s crucial that each of our strategies is crafted in-line with what the algorithm wants to see from us.

It’s important to note that search engines don’t disclose the specific details of their algorithm updates. So, SEO professionals rely on constant observation and analysis of rankings to infer when an update has occurred.

What is a Google Penalty?

Search engine’s are very prescriptive about what they like and don’t like to see from websites. In fact, Google penalises websites that violate their guidelines. When a website is penalised by Google, its organic traffic and rankings significantly decrease, which adversely affects its online presence.

You may be penalised by Google if:

You use black hat SEO techniques
Unnatural link building
User experience issues
Violation of webmaster guidelines

Some Google penalties are more severe than others; you may experience a partial loss of visibility or be removed from the search results entirely.

Ditch the typical, the future of search awaits.
